Darrell Hallman is a board-certified and Georgia-licensed Prosthetist and Orthotist with more than 30 years of clinical experience serving patients across Macon and Middle Georgia. He provides expert prosthetic and orthotic care for individuals with limb loss, musculoskeletal conditions, and mobility challenges.
A Middle Georgia native, Darrell earned his degree in Biology from Berry College before completing advanced professional training at two of the nation’s premier programs: the Northwestern University Prosthetic-Orthotic Center (Prosthetics) and the University of Connecticut Newington Program (Orthotics).
Darrell’s extensive clinical expertise includes functional electrical stimulation (FES), microprocessor-controlled prosthetic knees and feet, and myoelectric upper-extremity prostheses. He delivers customized prosthetic and orthotic solutions for both pediatric and adult patients, with a focus on comfort, function, and long-term outcomes.
Widely respected for his attention to detail and ability to solve complex fitting challenges, Darrell is known for taking the time to listen and tailor each device to the individual. His commitment to excellence and patient-centered care has earned him a strong reputation throughout the prosthetics and orthotics community in Georgia.
Outside of his clinical work, Darrell is married with three children. He serves in his church, enjoys watching his kid's sporting events, the outdoors, swimming, woodworking, and tackling home projects.
Jean Hallman partners with her husband, Darrell, to keep Avail running smoothly behind the scenes while creating a welcoming, people-first experience for every patient who walks through the door. As the lead for day-to-day office operations, Jean is often the first friendly face patients meet—and the steady support they rely on throughout their care journey.
With more than 20 years of experience in customer service and business development, Jean has a natural gift for connecting with people. She genuinely enjoys getting to know patients, hearing their stories, and building meaningful relationships that help each individual feel supported and confident as they work toward their goals.
Outside of Avail, Jean stays just as busy. She can often be found coaching her three children’s basketball teams, cheering from the sidelines, or lending her talents to business development at her children’s school. Her energy, organization, and heart for service shine through in everything she does—both in the office and in the community.
